MAXXDRIVE® Industrial Gear Units for High Torque Applications
NORD MAXXDRIVE® Industrial Gear Units provide high output torques from 15,000 Nm to 282,000 Nm and are perfect for use in heavy duty applications such as agitators, conveyor belt drives, mixers, mills, drums or crushers.
Industrial gear units are available as helical gear units or bevel gear units. They are constructed with the UNICASE housing which was developed by us and can accommodate large roller bearings, which guarantee a long service life. By the way: NORD is the industrial gear unit manufacturer with the world's largest industrial gear units in a UNICASE housing.
UNICASE Helical Inline Gear Motor
The UNICASE Helical Inline Gear Motor combines variability with robustness. Helical inline gear units from NORD are highly versatile and can be adapted to a wide range of applications. UNICASE gear units feature a cast iron housing that is torsionally rigid and capable of withstanding high axial and radial loads. The UNICASE™ housing combines all gear unit elements in a single housing. As a result, the UNICASE Helical Inline Gear Motor offers several advantages:

UNICASE Parallel Gear Motor
The UNICASE parallel Gear Motor provides drive solutions with high efficiency and performance, even in confined spaces. It is flexible in use thanks to its compact UNICASETM housing: the design combines all gear unit elements in a single housing.

IE5+ synchronous motor
High-efficiency synchronous motor with hygienic design
The IE5+ motor generation achieves efficiency levels that surpass those of the highest defined efficiency class (IE5). Thanks to their compact and hygienic design, permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) are perfectly suited for use in intralogistics and in the food and beverage industry. They are compatible with all gear units and frequency inverters in the NORD modular product system.

NORDAC ON Decentralised frequency inverter
Decentralised compact solution for high energy efficiency
The product range is designed for controlling NORD's highly efficient synchronous and asynchronous motors. While the NORDAC ON is suitable for IE3 drives, the NORDAC ON+ has been optimised for interaction with the IE5+ synchronous motor. The frequency inverters are characterised by an integrated multi-protocol Ethernet interface, full plug-in capability and a highly compact design. These features make them especially suitable for the requirements of horizontal conveyor technology.
